Episode 2

Episode 2 First impressions were a disaster—an actual, painful disaster. Sigh.🥺 By the time we parted ways, my head felt heavier than my overnight bag. He didn’t exactly resemble the man I had imagined in my daydreams… not even close. But somehow, despite the mismatch between fantasy and reality, we were already emotionally knee-deep in something. Something warm. Something confusing. Something that made me say, “Let me give this man another chance.” So when he invited me over to spend the weekend, I said yes. The moment he smiled at me, something flipped inside my chest. A strange, shimmering jolt of joy. Suddenly, the butterflies I thought were dead did a full resurrection and started a parade in my stomach. That single moment… it changed everything. Could this be my own modern-day Beauty and the Beast situation? 🤔 I didn’t care. I followed him home anyway. The weekend felt like a secret fairytale. I was on my period and so uncomfortable, yet when he looked at me, his face softened—...

The other end of the line

The other end of the line. Episode 1 “Oh ok so how are you?” Came the voice at the other end of the line.  “Lol I’m fine”, I said. Wondering if we had met 🙄 .    “I am Kay” he replied. “Ama” I simply announced. We kept checking up on each other everyday until my favorite part of the day became the voice on the other end of the line. From the very first moment, it felt as if we had known each other forever. Three months down the line, I was head over heels and anxiously waited for the unknown figure at the other end of the line.   Soon, we were sharing secrets with each other and talking about our lives like we are the only people in the world. His voice was so soothing and comforting….. One sunny Tuesday while I was on the field working, he called and invited me over 🥰 . I was going to see my crush and my heart pounded with excitement. I anxiously awaited the day when I was finally going to see him. 24hrs seemed like years. The days slowly went by and at las...

4am thoughts

Laying down staring quietly at the ceiling  My blank head filled with so many uncertainties.  Soo much to write with no urge,  soo many questions blurs my thoughts She seems disinterested in life and all its woes Will the future she sees in her dreams ever happen? She asks no one in particular  Will the anxiety in her heart ever be quenched? Someone has to answer to her curiosity  The heavens must think her inquisitive  The thrill of the unknown plunges  her with ferocity   power of the unknown keeps hunting her fears This and many unanswered questions probe my heart actively at four am . 4am thoughts by Marty

MAMA❤️‍🩹

I found a woman Stronger than anyone I know Kindness is her middle name Selflessness is her hallmark  More generous than  Warren Buffett She sacrifices herself like Jesus Christ Just to make her progeny happy  Mama She sometimes talks too much We sometimes argue just like friends But even in anger, her love is still Endless and supersedes all other Her words are meant to build not to tear She is the pillar that holds her household Mama Her gaze is like sunshine which Pierces so deep into the heart Her eyes always sparkle with love Her love is both her strength and weakness Her offspring, her pride and joy The most neutral and intimate friend Mama You are my safe haven I run to your arms and I feel safe Our protector, provider, professor When I’m outta control, you hold me down And never let go If I ever need saving in my restlessness I know I will always find rest in your bosom Because there’s no other love like a mother’s love Martywrites💕

Some keywords from the poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night (By Dylan Thomas:1914-1953)

 1. Meteors-noun  meaning: falling star /shooting star example: she ripped through the sky like a meteor In stanza 5, the poet uses these lines; "Grave men can see with "blinding sight, Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay". Meteors emit light. The use of meteors here by Thomas means that the "grave men" towards their deaths can look back on their lives and see it with extreme clarity . In old age, people often lose their eyesight, but it doesn't mean they can't see their past clearly in their own memories.  GAY Meaning: bright, happy, vivid, joyful Example: the children looked chubby and gay In the second line of the 5th stanza, Dylan Thomas says,  "Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay"  This means that the memories of the grave men "blaze" in their blind eyes; in other words, the joy of a life well lived reflects in their face, despite their old age. FIERCE Meanings: Intense, strong, vehement. Example: a fierce ...

The Dark Star 🌟

She was bruised  full of scars Everything around her was full of darkness Everything she touched turned gloomy Her life was at a standstill and Nothing she did seemed right The ones she called her own tried to bury her, Little did they know she was a seed So she sprang up and grew through the pain She’s a star She’s a fighter  She’s a survivor  She’s a Pearl in the midst of stones Just as a seed is a recipe for growth,  And gold goes through fire to be purified, Stars equally do not struggle to shine They shine so bright at their designated time She’s brave, bold and beautiful  She’s what one would call a living miracle  She’s a star.
